HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3323 RESOLUTION NO . 3323 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING INTENT TO FORM AN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT TO PROVIDE DRAINAGE WHEREAS , that certain area in the City of Huntington Beach bounded by Ellis Avenue , Beach Boulevard , Adams Avenue and the Southern Pacific Railroad has experienced increased development activity and therefore an increase in the need for drainage facilities ; and Certain funds from the Department of Housing and Urban De- velopment (HUD) are available for the acquisition of such facil- ities ; and The City Council hereby finds, from information furnished by the Department of Public Works of the City of Huntington Beach , that said proposed project is feasible , that the public interest , convenience and necessity requires said proposed work and improve- ments , and that the lands to be assessed will be able to carry the burden of the proposed assessments . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Huntington Beach intends to form an assessment district to provide drainage in the above area, and that the proceedings to set up said assess- ment district take place in due course and pursuant to request by the Department of Public Works of the City of Huntington Beach. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Hunt- ington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the Ord day of May 1971 .
