HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3330 RESOLUTION NO . 3330 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING PRIVATELY- OWNED STREETS IN VILLA PACIFIC TRACTS SUBJECT TO PROVISIONS OF STATE VEHICLE CODE WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City of Huntington Beach a petition, signed by a majority of the owners in Villa Pacific Tracts 5559 , 5560 and 5561, requesting this Council to declare the privately-owned streets in such tracts to be sub- ject to provisions of the California Vehicle Code; and Pursuant to Section 21107 .7 of the California Vehicle Code , public hearing was had before this Council pursuant to ten (10) days legal notice duly given in accordance with such section; and The City Council finds that Villa Pacific Drive, Via Straits Lane, Blue Reef Drive , Green Spray Lane , and Verde Mar Drive in Tracts 5559 , 5560 and 5561 are privately-owned and maintained and not generally open to the public for pur- poses of vehicular traffic, but by reason of the proximity to and the connection with highways , the interests of resi- dents residing along such roads and the motoring public will best be served by an application of the California Vehicle Code to such roads . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it finds and declares that the following privately-owned and maintained roads in Villa Pacific Tracts 5559 , 5560 and 5561, namely , Villa Pacific Drive, Via Straits Lane, Blue Reef Drive , Green Spray Lane , and Verde Mar Drive, are hereby subject to application of the provisions of the California Vehicle Code . Resolution No . 2453 is hereby repealed. 1. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of May, 1971 .
