A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO AN APPLICATION
TO THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE
FOR GRANT TO ASSIST IN IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICE
COMMUNICATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the California Council on Criminal Justice may
consent to review, for possible funding, the project submitted
by the City of Huntington Beach referred to as Police Communi-
cations/Command and Control Program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that the Mayor is directed to execute ,
on behalf of the City of Huntington Beach, the application for
grant for law enforcement purposes and special conditions
attached hereto,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to pro-
vide the required matching funds amounting to Eighty-five Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($85 ,500 . 00 ) in cash and One Hundred Seventy-
nine Thousand Four Hundred Forty-two Dollars ($179 ,442 . 00 ) in
in-kind services .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder
shall not be used to supplant ongoing law enforcement expenditures .
This resolution repeals Resolution No . 3326 .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day
of October, 1971.

I , PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th
day of October , 19 71 , by the following vote:
