HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3379 RESOLUTION NO. 3379 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF SHIPLEY STREET. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, (Section 8320 et seq. ), the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of Shipley Street in the City of Huntington Beach, described as follows: All of that portion of Shipley Street (shown as 16th Street in Book 24, Page 25 of Records of Survey, Orange County, California. ) being bounded on the north by the southeasterly extension of the southerly right of way line of Adams Avenue (Quincy Street) as it now exists, and being bounded on the south by the northwesterly extension of the northerly right of way of Loma Avenue as it now exists. All in the City of Huntington Beach, Orange County, California. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is directed to maintain on file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing the particular of the proposed vacation of a portion of Shipley Street, as hereinabove set forth and reference is hereby made to said maps or plans for said particulars as to said proposed vacation. SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby fix November 15, 1971, Monday, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, California as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time is not less than fifteen (15) days of the passage of this resolution. SECTION 4. The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the city of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage of this resolution, and is directed to mail a copy of this resolution of intent to all property owners within 300 feet of the subject property. SECTION 5. The Street Superintendent is directed to post, or cause to be posted, notices of street vacation conspicuously along the portion of Shipley Street proposed to be vacated at least ten (10) days before the date of hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but at least three (3) shall be posted. Such notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of the hearing. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of October, 1971.
