A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH INDICATING INTENT TO REZONE
PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY OF SEVENTEENTH STREET
BETWEEN PALM AVENUE AND OCEAN AVENUE TO
COMMERCIAL DENSITY
WHEREAS , the Planning Commission of the City of
Huntington Beach has determined that the area in the vicinity
of Seventeenth Street between Palm Avenue and Ocean Avenue will
be developed to a density requiring additional commercial zoning
at least one-half block in size, and by Resolution No. 1078,
adopted on November 2 , 1971 , expressed its intention to have a
comprehensive development plan for commercial development prior
to such rezoning,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach approves Planning Commission
Resolution No . 1078 and will give favorable consideration to
a request for commercial zoning along Seventeenth Street when
a comprehensive development plan for commercial development has
been submitted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of November, 1971.

acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of November 19 71 , by the following vote :
