A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3279
RELATING TO UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 71-1
WHEREAS , Resolution No . 3279 , passed by this Council on
January 18 , 1971, established Underground Utility District
No . 71-1; and
Such resolution also prescribed that all installations
in Underground Utility District No . 71-1 should be placed
underground, and all poles , overhead wires and other appur-
tenant structures should be removed by January 1, 1972 ; and
This Council is informed that new municipal construction
in Underground Utility District No . 71-1 makes the afore-
mentioned date impracticable ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that Resolution No. 3279 is hereby
amended by the following words and figures :
That all poles , overhead wires and associated overhead
structures shall be removed and underground installations made
in said underground utility district within the following times :
(a) Underground installation by utility companies and
property owners and reconnections not later than January 1 , 1973;
(b) Removal of poles , overhead wires and other associated
overhead structures not later than January 1, 1973 •
RESOLVED further that the City Clerk, within ten (10) days
after the adoption of this resolution, shall mail a copy hereof
to affected property owners as such are shown on the last equal-
ized roll and to the affected utilities .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th
1 .
day of December, 1971.

I , PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th
day of December 13 71 , by the following vote:
