HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3431 RESOLUTION NO . 3431 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING ITS MASTER PLAN OF LAND USE TO INCLUDE MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 71-3 WHEREAS, city desires to adopt Master Plan Amendment No . 71-3 amending its Master Plan of Land Use, Study Area "C, " ex- cluding Areas "A, " "D," and "L" as described in Zone Case No . 71-20; and Public hearing on adoption of said amendment was duly con- ducted before the Planning Commission; and The amendment was approved by resolution of the Planning Commission, to wit : Resolution No. 1084, adopted on October 19, 1971; and The City Council, after giving notice as prescribed by Government Code Section 65355, held at least one public hearing on said amendment, and said amendment was duly considered, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to the provisions of Govern- ment Code Sections 65000 et seq . , the Master Plan of Land Use, Study Area "C, " (excluding Areas "A, " "D, " and "L" as described in Zone Case No . 71-20) is hereby amended by adding thereto Master Plan Amendment No . 71-3 as set out in Resolution No . 1084 of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of February, 1972 . 2 Mayor 1. ATTEST: Oa-7'� ity erk APPROVED AS TO FORM: Ci y Attor� 2 RESOLUTION NO 1084 RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BZACH t CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO 71-3. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of ' the City of Huntington Beach, California, has held one public hearing in compliance with the State Government Code in order to k; consider and review Master Plan Amendment No 71-3, an amendment to the Master Plan of Land Use, Study Area "C", in accordance with the provisions of the State Goverment Code,and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission is adopting said plans in order to: (a) Promote the health, safety, welfare and convenience of the general public. (b) Serve as a general guide for the development of public and private lands. p t (c) Provide an authentic source of information for { residents and investors of the city, (c) To obviate the menace to public safety and property values resulting from inadequate coordination and planning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the .City Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach hereby adopts said amendment to .the Master Plan of Land Use, Study Area "C", as a part of the Master Plan of the City of Huntington Beach. REGULARLY PASSED AND ADOPTED, by the City Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, California, on the 19th day of October, 1971, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Slates, Bazil, Higgins, Boyle.
