HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3434 RESOLUTION NO. 3434 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO CLOSE A PORTION OF TALBERT AVENUE The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows : SECTION 1 . Pursuant to Division 9 , Part 3 , Chapter 2 of the California Streets and Highways Code (specifically Section 8320 et seq . ) , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to close a portion of Talbert Avenue in the City of Huntington Beach, at a line described as follows : From the westerly right of way line of Gothard Street to the easterly right of way line of Golden West Street . SECTION 2 . The City Clerk is directed to maintain on file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing the par- ticulars of the proposed closure of a portion of Talbert Avenue , as hereinabove set forth and reference is hereby made to said maps or plans for said particulars as to said proposed closure . SECTION 3 . The CityCouncil does hereby fix Tuesday , y , February 22 , 1972 at the hour of 7 : 30 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in Council Chambers in City Hall , Huntington Beach , California as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed closure , which time is not less than fifteen (15) days from the date of passage of this resolution. SECTION 4 . The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News , a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the city of Huntington Beach within fifteen ( 15) days of its passage . 1 . SECTION 5 . The Street Superintendent is directed to post , or cause to be posted notices of street closure conspicuously along the portion of Talbert Avenue proposed to be closed at least ten (10) days before the date of the hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred ( 300) feet apart but at least three (3) shall be posted. Such notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of the hearing.
