A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING ITS MASTER PLAN OF
LAND USE TO INCLUDE MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO.
71-5
WHEREAS , city desires to adopt Master Plan Amendment No .
71-5 amending its Master Plan of Land Use -for a portion of
Study Area "B, " generally bounded by Warner Avenue on the south ,
Edwards Street on the west and the city limits on the north and
northeast ; and
Public hearing on adoption of said amendment was duly
conducted before the Planning Commission; and
The amendment was approved by resolution of the Planning
Commission, to wit : Resolution No . 1086 , adopted on December
21, 1971; and
The City Council, after giving notice as prescribed by
Government Code Section 65355 , held at least one public hear-
ing on said amendment , and said amendment was duly considered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to the provisions of Govern-
ment Code Sections 65000 et seq. , the Master Plan of Land Use ,
Study Area "B . " (as described in Zone Case No . 71-51) is hereby
amended by adding thereto Master Plan Amendment No . 71-5 as
set out in Resolution No . 1086 of the Huntington Beach Planning
Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
of this resolution .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 22nd
day of February, 1972 .

RESOLUTION NO 1086
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO 71-5.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City
of Huntington Beach, California has held one public hearing
in compliance with the State Government Code in order to
consider and review Master Plan Amendment No 71-5 , an
amendment to a portion of Study Area"B" , in accordance
with the provisions of the State Government Code, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission is adopting
said plan in order to:
(a) Promote the health, safety, welfare and con-
venience of the general public.
(b) Serve as a general guide for the development of
public and private lands.
(c) Provide an authentic source of information for
residents and investors of the city.
(d) To obviate the menace to public safety and property
values resulting from inadequate coordination and
planning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Planning
Commission of the City of Huntington Beach hereby adopts
said amendment to the Master Plan of Land Use, Study Area "B" ,
as a part of the Master Plan of the City of Huntington Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said amendment to the
Master Plan of Land Use is recommended for adoption by the

official Master Plan of said city.
REGULARLY PASSED AND ADOPTED, by the City Planning _
Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, California,
on the 21st day of December, 1971 , by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Slates, Bazil , Boyle, Duke, Porter, Kerins.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Higgins.
THE RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED.
