A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH IMPOSING A MORATORIUM ON
THE ISSUANCE OF USE PERMITS BY THE PLANNING
COMMISSION WITH RESPECT TO Rl-PD DEVELOPMENTS
WHEREAS, a need has arisen for an analysis and study of
the Rl-PD ordinance with emphasis on the impact of R1-PD
densities on the community; and
It is deemed necessary and desirable that a moratorium
be placed on the issuance by the Planning Commission of use
permits in connection with Rl-PD developments pending such
analysis and study,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that the Planning Commission of the
City of Huntington Beach shall not issue any use permit in
connection with Rl-PD development applications for a period of
ninety (90) days from and after the adoption of this resolu-
tion, pending an analysis and study of the Rl-PD ordinance,
with emphasis on the impact of Rl-PD densities on the community .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that applications for R1-PD use
permits filed prior to the date of enactment of this resolu-
tion are exempt from the operation of this resolution.
RESOLVED FURTHER that this resolution shall be in force
for a period of ninety (90) days from and after the enactment
hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the lst
day of May, 1972.

of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st
day of May 19 72 , by the following vote:
