A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ENDORSING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH
YMCA SURFBOARD RIDING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach recognizes the
YMCA Surfboard Riding Program as an asset to the community
inasmuch as it appeals to many young people not reached by
other youth programs; and
The program has helped reduce juvenile delinquency in
the City of Huntington Beach tremendously; and
The YMCA is offering purposeful activities and is to be
commended for this worthwhile project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach wholeheartedly endorses the YMCA
Surfboard Riding Program and expresses appreciation for the
effort made to provide the youth of our community with such
program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed
to transmit a copy of this resolution to the executive director,
Richard Collato on behalf of the YMCA board members .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th
day of June, 1972. `

resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th
