A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH INFORMING THE ADVISORY
COMMITTEE OF CHANGES IN THE CITY ARTERIAL
HIGHWAY MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS , the Arterial Highway Financing Program has a
requirement that all cities must requalify annually for such
program by information the Advisory Committee of any changes
in the City Arterial Highway Master Plan; and
The city has made those changes described in Resolutions
No. 3388 and 3390 , attached hereto and by reference made a
part hereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach hereby informs the Advisory Com-
mittee that changes have been made to the City Arterial High-
way Master Plan and hereby requests that such changes be adopted
into the County Arterial Highway Master Plan, and be made eli-
gible for inclusion in the Arterial Highway Financing Program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held
on the 28th day of June, 1972 .

RESOLUTION NO. 3388
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE MASTER STREET AND
HIGHWAY PLAN TO INCLUDE MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT
NO. 71-4
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
on April 21, 1958 duly adopted an official Master Street and
Highway Plan, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law of
the State of California; and
Pursuant to said Conservation and Planning Law, the Planning
Commission on October 5, 1971, after notice duly given, held
public hearing relative to Master Plan Amendment No . 71-4 to
the Master Street and Highway Plan to include the upgrading from
two local streets to secondary highways of Saybrook Lane between
Heil and Edinger Avenues and Heil Avenue between Algonquin Street ,
and Saybrook Lane; the deletion from said Master Street and High-
way Plan, and reclassification from secondary street on an arterial
street to local street of Algonquin Street , between Heil and Edinger
Avenues; and the relocation of Talbert Avenue between Gothard and
Springdale Streets to Alignment "D" as indicated on Precise Plan
Amendment No. 70-7 ; and
After notice duly given pursuant to law, hearing was held
before this Council, on the proposed adoption of said amendment to
said master plan, and the matter having been considered, the Council
finds that the upgrading from local streets to secondary highways of
Saybrook Lane between Heil and Edinger Avenues and Heil Avenue be-
tween Algonquin Street and Saybrook Lane; the deletion from said
Master Street and Highway Plan, and reclassification from secondary
street on an arterial street to local street of Algonquin Street ,
between Heil and Edinger Avenues , and relocation of Talbert Avenue
between Gothard and Springdale Streets to Alignment "D" as indicated

on Precise Plan Amendment No. 70-7 , is reasonably necessary to
the orderly and efficient flow of traffic , for the preservation
of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and
for the orderly development of the community .
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby resolve as follows :
1. That the Master Street and Highway Plan shall include
Saybrook Lane between Heil and Edinger Avenues , and Heil Avenue
between Algonquin Street and Saybrook Lane shall be designated as
secondary highways .
2 . That said Master Street and Highway Plan shall include
the relocation of Talbert Avenue between Gothard and Springdale
Streets to Alignment "D" as indicated on Precise Plan Amendment
No. 70-7 .
3 . That Algonquin Street between Heil Avenue and Edinger
Avenue shall be deleted from such Master Street and Highway Plan,
and reclassified as a local street .
4. That the property hereinabove described, and shown on the
map designated Exhibit "A" hereto attached and incorporated herein,
and made a part hereof by reference , is hereby adopted as a part
of, and as Master Plan Amendment No . 71-4 to the Master Street and
Highway Plan of the City of Huntington Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Hunting-
ton Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of

RESOLUTION NO. 3390
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN OF
STREETS AND HIGHWAYS TO INCLUDE AMENDMENT NO.
71-1
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
on April 21, 1958 duly adopted an official Master Plan of

ning Commission on February 17, 1971, after notice duly given,
held public hearing relative to Amendment No. 71-1 to the
Master Plan of Streets and Highways to reclassify Mansion and
Yorktown Avenues from secondary to primary highways from Main
Street to Beach Boulevard; and
After notice duly given pursuant to law, hearing was held
before this Council on the proposed adoption of said amendment
to said master plan, and the matter having been considered, the
Council finds that the reclassification of Mansion and Yorktown
Avenues from Main Street to Beach Boulevard from secondary to
primary highways is reasonably necessary to the orderly and
efficient flow of traffic, for the preservation of the health
and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly
development of the community,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby resolve as follows :
1. That Mansion and Yorktown Avenues , from Main Street to
Beach Boulevard, are hereby reclassified from secondary to
primary highways .
2. That the map, designated Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and made a part hereof by reference, is hereby adopted as part
1.
of the Master Plan of Streets and Highways of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of November, 1971.
