A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO FORM
AN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT (ADAMS-DELAWARE STORM DRAIN
PROJECT)
WHEREAS , the City of Huntington Beach is applying to the
Department of Housing and Urban Development for funds to aid
in the construction of a storm drain known as the Adams-
Delaware Storm Drain to serve the area generally bounded by
Beach Boulevard, Adams Avenue, Lake Street and Main Street ,
and
The grant will provide funds to finance a maximum of 50%
of the cost of construction of the storm drain, and
There exist hazards to the health, safety and welfare
of residents of lands within the assessment district ; and
These hazards have been attested to by the Health Depart-
ment , Mosquito Abatement District , Planning Department , Flood
Control District , and Road Department of the County of Orange ;
the Huntington Beach Convalescent Hospital; the Maintenance
Department , Fire Department and Police Department of the
City of Huntington Beach; the Huntington Beach Union High
School District ; the Huntington Beach Safety Council; the
Division of Highways of the State of California; the Orange
County Sanitation Districts ; and the Southern California
Association of Governments , and
A grant of $600 ,000 has been requested of HUD ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach that it does hereby declare its
intention to impose an Assessment District under the provisions
of Improvement Act of 1911 or 1913 of the State of California
MHM:lm 1 .
Streets and Highways Code to generate the local funding.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st
day of August , 1972 .

I , PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st
day of August 19 72 , by the following vote:
