HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3569 RESOLUTION NO. 3569 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF MAGNOLIA STREET FROM HAMILTON AVENUE TO PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY, BEING ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM PROJECT NO. 620 WHEREAS, on December 21, 1970 the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adopted Resolution No . 3267 requesting the County of Orange to include the development of Magnolia Street within the Arterial Highway Financing Program, and The original estimate for the improvement of Magnolia Street from Hamilton Avenue to Pacific Coast Highway (AHFP Project No . 620) was $248,000; however upon completion of the construction drawings the final estimate of the cost of the project is now $320,000, and The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach had originally requested that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange allocate one half of said $248,000 or $124,000 from the Arterial Highway Financing Program, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to said project the sum of $160,000, being one half of the aforesaid $320,000, in lieu of the $124,000 previously requested, from the Arterial Highway Financing Program, said amount to be matched by funds from the City of Huntington Beach.
