HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3577 RESOLUTION NO. 3577 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ENDORSING AND APPROVING THE CALIFORNIA COASTLINE INITIATIVE KNOWN AS PROPOSI- TION 20 WHEREAS , the City Council and the citizens of the City of Huntington Beach are deeply concerned with preserving the coast- line , and The California Coastline Initiative is to appear as Pro- position 20 in the 1972 California ballot , and It is the judgment of the City Council that the people of the City of Huntington Beach, the State of California and the California coastline would be best served by the passage of said Proposition 20 , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach endorses and approves the California Coastline Initiative , also known as Proposition 20 , and urges its passage at the November 1972 election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to Coastline Alliance and SCAG (Southern California Associ- ation of Governments ) and other appropriate associations .
