HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3579 RESOLUTION NO. 3579 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH COMMENDING MONTE NITZKOWSKI AND JIM SEYMOUR WHEREAS , one of the highest honors which can come to any athlete is that of participating in the Olympics ; and Monte Nitzkowski, as head coach of the water polo team, and Jim Seymour, member of the track team have been honored and have had the honor of representing this country in Munich during the recent Olympic games; and Their participation in the Olympics has brought great honor to the City of Huntington Beach, and such honor has been amplified by the bronze medal taken by the water polo team, and by Jim Seymour in placing fourth in the final 400-meter high hurdle event , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does commend MONTE NITZKOWSKI and JIM SEYMOUR for their participation in the 1972 Olympics . PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of October, 1972 .
