HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3646 RESOLUTION N0. 3646 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING ITS MASTER PLAN OF LAND USE TO INCLUDE MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 73-1 WHEREAS , city desires to adopt Master Plan Amendment No. 73-1 amending its Master Plan of Land Use to change a 1. 035 acre parcel of land, located at the north intersection of Brookhurst and Bushard Streets from low density residential to commercial-retail; and Public hearing on adoption of said amendment was had by the Planning Commission on February 6 , 1973 ; and By Resolution No . 1109 , adopted February 21, 1973 , said Planning Commission approved Master Plan Amendment No . 73-1; and The City Council, after giving notice as prescribed by Government Code Section 65355 , held at least one public hearing on said amendment , and said amendment was duly considered , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to provisions of Government Code Sections 65000 et seq. , the Master Plan of Land Use is hereby amended by incorporating therein Master Plan Amendment No. 73-1, as set out in Resolution No . 1109 of the Hunting- ton Beach Planning Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a part of this resolution . JONES, the duly elected, qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex- officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of March 19 73 , by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen: Shipley, Bartlett, Gibbs, Matney, Duke, Coen NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Green Cit C er an -officio Clerk of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California RESOLUTION NO. 1109 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF MASTER PLAN AMEND- MENT NO. 73-1 . WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach desires to adopt Master Plan Amendment No . 73-1 amending the Master Plan of Land Use to redesignate a 1 . 035 acre parcel of land, located at the north intersection of Brookhurst Street and Bushard Street , from Low Density Residential to Commercial-Retail ; and WHEREAS, a public hearing on adoption of said amendment was had by the Planning Commission on February 6 , 1973 in accordance with provisions of the State Government Code ; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach is adopting said plan in order to : 1 . Promote the health, safety, welfare and convenience of the general public; 2 . Serve as a general guide for. the development of public and private lands ; 3 . Provide an authentic source of information for residents and investors of the city ; 4 . To obviate the menace to public safety and property values resulting from inadequate coordination and planning. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach hereby adopts said amendment to the Master Plan of Land Use of the City of Huntington Beach; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the amendment of the Master Plan of Land Use is recommended for adoption by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as the official Master Plan of said city.
