A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING THE AREA-WIDE TOPICS
STUDY, THE PRIMARY TYPE II SYSTEM, AND THE LIST
OF TRAFFIC OPERATION IMPROVEMENT PRIORITIES
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 3302, adopted March 15, 1971,
and Resolution No . 3514, adopted June 28, 1972, the City of
Huntington Beach became a participant in the TOPICS Program
(Traffic Operations Program to Increase Capacity and Safety)
to develop traffic operations improvements on a systematic
basis in accordance with an area-wide plan over a network of
arterial and other major streets within urban areas , and
The "Areawide Traffic Operations Improvement Plan" , which
is the result of the study, containing the Primary Type II
Highway System and the list of traffic operational improvements
priorities, has been duly presented and considered, and
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has duly
considered such study, as required by Local Agency/State Agree-
ment No. 42,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that the Areawide TOPICS Study, the
Primary Type II System, and the list of traffic operational
improvement priorities for the City of Huntington Beach be
adopted and certified to the State of California, Division of
Highways by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to send two certified copies
of this resolution to John W. Shaver, Assistant District Engineer,
State of California Division of Highways , Post Office Box 2304,
Los Angeles, California 90054 .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
