HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3669 RESOLUTION NO. 3669 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH COMMENDING CITY CLERK PAUL JONES FOR HIS FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF HUNTINGTON BEACH WHEREAS, it was with deep sadness that the City learned of the death of Paul Jones on April 1, 1973; and Paul Jones has faithfully served the people of the City of Huntington Beach as City Clerk for the past thirteen years ; and During this time he has contributed to the community welfare by his activities in business and professional groups and he served as past president of the Southern California City Clerks ' Association and was a trustee of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks . NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby commends Paul Jones for service to the City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that suitably prepared copies of this resolution shall be transmitted to Mrs . Ruth Jones, Jacquelyn, Donald, and Robert Jones , the widow and children of Paul Jones . PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of April, 1973 .
