A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTIONS
OF THE STARSHINE DRIVE RIGHT OF WAY ADJACENT TO
LOTS 116 AND 117 OF TRACT 7664
WHEREAS, on May 7, 1973, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No . 3680 declaring its
intention to vacate portions of the Starshine Drive right of
way adjacent to Lots 116 and 117 of Tract 7664 in the City of
Huntington Beach, and referring to a map or plan on file in the
office of the City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed
vacation; and
Said resolution fixed the time and place of Monday, June 4,
1973, at the hour of 7 : 00 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the
matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers in City Hall,
Huntington Beach, California for hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time was not
less than fifteen (15) days from the passage of said resolution.
Notice of the proposed vacation were posted conspicuously along
that portion of the Starshine Drive right of way proposed to be
vacated, and such notices were posted not more than three hundred
( 300) feet apart and at least three (3) were posted.
On June 4 , 1973 at the hour of 7 : 00 P .M. thereof, in the
Council Chambers in City Hall, Huntington Beach, California,
the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach did convene
for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or objecting
to the proposed vacation of portions of the Starshine Drive
right of way adjacent to Lots 116 and 117 of. Tract 7664, at which
time no objection was made to said vacation, and evidence was
presented showing that the portions of the Starshine Drive right
of way proposed to be vacated are not necessary for present or

prospective public street purposes , and are not suitable for
use or development as bicycle paths or routes,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, pursuant to Part 3 , Division 9 of the California Streets
and Highways Code (Sections 8300 et seq. ) , does resolve that
portions of the right of way of Starshine Drive located adjacent
to Lots 116 and 117 of Tract 7664 are not necessary for present
or prospective public street purposes , and are not suitable for
use or development as bicycle paths or routes , and it is hereby
ORDERED that the following described portions of the right
of way of Starshine Drive be and the same are hereby vacated;
said portions of the right of way so vacated are described as
follows :
PARCEL A
That portion of Starshine Drive in the City of
Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, as shown on a map of Tract No . 7664,
recorded in Book 307, pages 32 through 37 of
Miscellaneous Maps , records of said county, described
as follows :
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot 116 of said
tract, said corner being also a point on a line par-
allel with and distant northerly, measured at right
angles , 30 . 00 feet from the centerline of said
Starshine Drive; thence North 89°34 ' 33" east 36 . 16
feet along said parallel line to a tangent curve
concave southwesterly and having a radius of 85 . 00
feet; thence southeasterly along said curve through
a central angle of 16052111" , an arc distance of 25. 03
feet to a point on the southerly prolongation of the
east line of said Lot 116, a radial line through said
point bears North 16°26144" East; thence North 0°
39 ' 56" West 13 . 67 feet along said prolongation to the
southeast corner of Lot 116, said corner being on a
non-tangent curve concave southeasterly and having a
radius of 70 . 00 feet a radial line through said point
bears North 0°39142" West; thence southwesterly along
said boundary line and along said curve through a
central angle of 11002108" , an arc distance of 13 . 48
feet to a tangent line; thence South 78018 ' 10" West
40 . 33 feet to a tangent curve concave northwesterly

and having a radius of 40 . 00 feet; thence southwesterly
along said curve through a central angle of 11016123" ,
an arc distance of 7 . 87 feet to the Point of Beginning.
PARCEL B
That portion of Starshine Drive in the City of
Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of
California as shown on a map of Tract No . 7664,
recorded in Book 307, pages 32 through 37 of
Miscellaneous Maps , records of said county,
described as follows :
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot 117 of said
tract; thence South 0039 ' 56" East 13 . 67 feet along
the southerly prolongation of the west line of said
lot to a point on a non-tangent curve concave south-
westerly and having a radius of 85 . 00 feet , a radial
line through said point bears North 16026144" East;
thence southeasterly along said curve through a
central angle of 23012 ' 3411 , an are distance of 34. 43
feet to a point on the easterly boundary line of
said tract , a radial line through said point bears
North 31039118" East; thence North 0039 ' 50" West
23 . 34 feet along said easterly boundary line to a
point on the southerly line of Lot 117, said point
being also on a non-tangent curve concave south-
westerly and having a radius of 70 .00 feet, a radial
line through said point bears North 24142147" East;
thence northwesterly along said curve and along
said southerly line through a central angle of 250
2212911 , an arc distance of 31. 01 feet to the Point
of Beginning.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th
day of June, 1973 .
