HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3715 r RESOLUTION N0. 3715 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE FOR A MULTI-MEDIA SYSTEM IN THE NEW POLICE FACILITY WHEREAS, the initial plans for the new police facility, squad room, training classroom complex provided for a multi- media system, and Said system was subsequently deleted by the architect to insure that the building costs would be contained within existing bonding revenues, and Said multi-media system is essential to proper training and briefing of police personnel and, therefore, also directed to the accomplishment of departmental goals of community service, and The police staff studied 18 vendors of such multi-media systems and received proposals from 6 and selected the proposal of Telenetics/Vicor, Inc . of San Diego, California, at a total cost of $249280 . 20, and A sufficient surplus exists in the police budget to offset the cost, which will be a nonrecurrent cost item. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby authorize a contract to be executed by and between the City of Huntington Beach and Telenetics/Vicor, Inc . for the purposes and amounts above stated, said contract to be prepared by the City Attorney 's Office and signed by the city after it is signed by Telenetics/Vicor, Inc . PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of June, 1973 .
