HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3755 RESOLUTION NO . 3755 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF CLAY AVENUE AND BEACON HILL LANE The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows : SECTION 1. Pursuant to Division 9 , Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California (Sections 8320 et seq . ) , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of Clay Avenue and Beacon Hill Lane located in the City of Huntington Beach, described as follows : In the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of Clay Avenue and Beacon Hill Lane as shown on a map of Tract 7656 recorded in Book 295 , pages 28 through 31 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of said County, more particularly described as follows : Beginning at a point on the northerly boundary of Lot Number One of Tract 7421 as shown on a map recorded in Book 302 , pages 20 through 23 of said Miscellaneous Maps, said point being a point of reverse curve to which a radial bears north 19035 ' 34" east ; thence , easterly and southerly along said boundary of Lot One the following several courses and distances : easterly , along a curve concave southerly and having a radius of 32 . 00 feet through a central angle of 13015 , 14" an arc length of 7 . 40 feet to a point to which a radial bears north 32050148" east , thence south 32050148" west 4 .00 feet , along last said radial to a point on a curve concave southwesterly and having a radius of 28 .00 feet, a radial to last said curve bears north 32050148" east , thence easterly and southerly along last said curve through a central angle of 59°59 ' 52" an arc length of 29 . 32 feet to a point to which a radial bears south 87009120" east , thence south 87009120" east 4 . 00 feet along the prolongation of last said radial to a point on a curve concave westerly and having a radius of 32 . 00 feet , a radial to 1 . WM: lm last said curve bears south 87°09120" east , thence southerly along last said curve through a central angle of 13015 ' 13" an arc length of 7 . 40 feet to a tangent line, thence south 161 05 ' S3" west 0 . 40 feet along said tangent line , thence leaving said boundary of Lot One , south 77°31 ' 34" east 1 .60 feet to a point on a curve concave westerly and having a radius of 32 . 00 feet , a radial to last said point bears south 70'01148" east , thence northerly along last said curve through a central angle of 13044120" an arc length of 7 . 67 feet to a point to which a radial bears south 83046 , 08" east , thence north 83146 , 08" west 4 . 05 feet along last said radial , to a point on a curve concave southwesterly and having a radius of 28 . 00 feet a radial to last said point bears south 87008145" east , thence northerly and westerly along last said curve through a central angle of 60107 , 46" an arc length of 29 . 38 feet to a point to which a radial bears north 32043129" east , thence north 34°26 ' 36" east 3 .16 feet to a point on a curve concave southerly and having a radius of 32 .00 feet , a radial to last said point bears north 36007121" east , thence westerly along last said curve through a central angle of 16031 '47" an arc length of 9 . 23 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The City Clerk is directed to maintain on file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing the particulars of the proposed vacation of a portion of Clay Avenue and Beacon Hill Lane, as hereinabove set forth, and reference is hereby made to said maps or plans for said particulars as to said proposed vacation . SECTIO i o hereby fix October N The City Council does 3 y y 1, 1973 at the hour of 7 : 00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in Council Chambers in City Hall , Huntington Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time is not less than fifteen (15 ) days from the passage of this resolution. SECTION 4 . The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News , a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage of this resolution . 2 . SECTION 5 . The Street Superintendent is directed to post , or cause to be posted, notices of street vacation conspicuously along that portion of Clay Avenue and Beacon Hill Lane proposed to be vacated at least ten (10) days before the date of hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart , but at least three (3) shall be posted . Such notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of the hearing.
