HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3764 RESOLUTION N0. 3764 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING ITS MASTER PLAN OF LAND USE TO INCLUDE MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 73-7 WHEREAS , city desires to adopt Master Plan Amendment No. 73-7, amending its Master Plan of Land Use to change approximately fifteen acres of land, located on the east side of Goldenwest Street approximately 620 feet north of Ellis Avenue, from light industrial to agricultural; and Public hearing on adoption of said amendment was held by the Planning Commission on June 19, 1973; and By Resolution No. 1123, adopted August 7, 1973, said Planning Commission approved Master Plan Amendment No . 73-7; and The City Council, after giving notice as prescribed by Government Code Section 65355, held at least one public hear- ing on said amendment , and said amendment was duly considered, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to provisions of Government Code Section 65000 et seq. , the Master Plan of Land Use is hereby amended by incorporating therein Master Plan Amendment No . 73-7, as set out in Resolution No . 1123 of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a part of this res- olution. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Hungington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of September, 1973 . yor ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM: AF �� City Clerk Ci Attorney lm RESOLUTION NO. 1123 { A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OI: TI IF CITY OI: HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING THE MASTER PLAN DESIGNATION OF "AGRICULTURE" AND RECOIMMI;NDING APPROVAL OF MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT NO . 73- 7 WHEREAS , the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach desires to establish the master plan designation of { "Agriculture" and to adopt Master Plan Amendment No. 73- 7 amending the Master Plan of Land Use to redesignate approximately 300 , 000 sq . ft. of land, located on the east side of Goldenwest Street , approximately 620 ft . north of Ellis Avenue , from Light Industrial to Agriculture ; and WHEREAS, a public hearing on adoption of said amendment was had by the Planning Commission on June 19 , 1973 in accordance with provisions of the State Government Code ; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach is adopting said plan in order to : 1 . Promote the health, safety , welfare and convenience of the general public ; 2 . Serve as a general guide for the development of public and private lands ; 3. Provide an authentic source of information for residents and investors of the city ; 4 . To obviate the menace to public safety and property values resulting from inadequate coordination and planning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach hereby adopts said amendment to the Master Plan of Land Use of the City of Huntington Beach ; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the amendment of the Master Plan of Land Use is recommended for adoption by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as the official Master Plan of said city.
