Home My WebLink AboutCity Council - 3788 RESOLUTION NO. 3788 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO TRANSFER CERTAIN TERRITORY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER AND CONSENTING TO THE TRANS- FER OF CERTAIN TERRITORY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach and the City of Westminster both propose to transfer territory from one city to a contiguous city; and Government Code Section 35271 provides that proceedings to transfer territory from one city to a contiguous city are initiated by filing with the Board of Supervisors of the county in which the -c- ties are situated a resolution of the legislative body of the city in which the territory is situa- ted and a resolution of consent to the transfer adopted by the legislative body of the city in which the territory is situated; and Each transfer of territory has been approved by the Local Agency Formation Commission, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that the territory located in the City of Huntington Beach set forth in Exhibit A, be transferred to the City of Westminster. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it consents to the transfer of the terri- tory located in the City of Westminster set forth in Exhibit B, to the City of Huntington Beach. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach file a copy of the resolution with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange and the City Council of the City of Westminster 'and with any other appropriate govern- mental agency to carry out the transfers herein set forth and er 1. ask that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange set the matters for hearing.
