HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3808 RESOLUTION NO. 3808 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXECUTE SUPPLEMENT NO. 1 TO LOCAL AGENCY - STATE AGREEMENT NO. 2, FAU PROJECT M-6024 (003 ) WHEREAS, on November 19, 1973, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adopted Resolution No . 3783, whereby the city entered into a master agreement with the State of California to widen Beach Boulevard between Pacific Coast Highway and Adams Avenue; and Many projects are incorporated within such master agree- ment, and Supplement No. 1 to Local Agency - State Agreement No. 2, FAU Project M-6024 (003 ) is one such project, covering the advertising and bidding on the widening of Beach Boulevard to six lanes from Pacific Coast Highway to Adams Avenue, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute that certain project agreement, designated "Supplement No. 1 to Local Agency - State Agreement No . 2, FAU Project M-6024 (003 ) , " a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, in connection with city ' s Federal Aid Urban Project to widen Beach Boulevard to six traffic lanes from Pacific Coast Highway to Adams Avenue. All maintenance, involving-the physical condition and the operation of the improvements, referred to in Article VI MAINTENANCE of the aforementioned Master Agreement will be performed by the State of California at regular intervals or as required for efficient operation of the completed improvements. . The City of Huntington Beach will advertise, award and administer this project with the approval of the FHWA. The State Highway matching funds shown above will not be available until or unless authorized by the California Highway Commission. In awarding, or agreeing to award the contract, the City agees to use maximum Federal Fund participation and accepts any fn- crease in Local Agency funds. The City share of matching funds for Preliminary Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Construction will be Q percent of the amount remaining after Federal participation. i
