RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING LAKE PARK
BOY SCOUT CABIN AS AN HISTORICAL LANDMARK
WHEREAS, the Boy Scout cabin located in Lake Park was
completed in 1924; and
It has been the headquarters for the oldest active
scout troop west of the Mississippi; and
It is constructed of logs in the historic tradition
of our forefathers; and
The Huntington Beach Historical Society recommends
that it be preserved as an historical landmark significant
to the history of Huntington Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach that the log cabin located at
Lake Park be designated as an historical landmark significant
to the history of Huntington Beach upon completion of re-
modeling and that it be preserved as such.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
21st day of January, 1974 .

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at'a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day
