HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3921 RESOLUTION NO. 3921 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO AN APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE FOR A GRANT TO ASSIST IN IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROJECT TO SUPPRESS CRIMES OF BURGLARY AND RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to under- take a law enforcement project designed f6r suppression of burglary and receiving stolen property from funds made available, in part, through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 administered by the California Council on Criminal Justice; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as follows : 1. That the Mayor is authorized to submit the application for grant for law enforcement purposes to the California Council on Criminal Justice for its consideration; 2. That in the event the California Council on Criminal Justice consents to fund the project, the Mayor of the City of Huntington Beach is authorized to execute in behalf of the City of Huntington Beach, the contract for the grant for law enforcement purposes; 3. That the applicant agrees to provide the required matching funds to said project; 4 . That grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures .
