A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH RELATING TO AN APPLICATION
TO THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE
FOR A GRANT TO ASSIST IN IMPLEMENTATION OF A
PROJECT TO SUPPRESS CRIMES OF BURGLARY AND
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to under-
take a law enforcement project designed f6r suppression of
burglary and receiving stolen property from funds made available,
in part, through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets
Act of 1968 administered by the California Council on Criminal
Justice;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach as follows :
1. That the Mayor is authorized to submit the application
for grant for law enforcement purposes to the California
Council on Criminal Justice for its consideration;
2. That in the event the California Council on Criminal
Justice consents to fund the project, the Mayor of the City of
Huntington Beach is authorized to execute in behalf of the
City of Huntington Beach, the contract for the grant for law
enforcement purposes;
3. That the applicant agrees to provide the required
matching funds to said project;
4 . That grant funds received hereunder shall not be
used to supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
15th day of July, 1974.

Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the

members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day
of July 19 74 by the following vote:
