A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE
CALIFORNIA STREET BETWEEN OSWEGO AVENUE AND
NASHVILLE STREET
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby resolve as follows :
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California
(Sections 8320 et seq. ) , the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to vacate
California Street between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street,
described as follows :
That portion of T. J. Watson's resubdivision,
as shown on a map recorded in Book 4, page 56,
Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County
being described as follows :
Beginning at the northeast corner of Block 1403
of said T. J. Watson' s resubdivision; thence
southerly along the east line of said Block 1403
to a point, said point being the southeast corner
of said Block 1403; thence easterly 60. 00 feet
along the prolongation of the south line of said
Block 11103 to a point, said point being the south-
west corner of Block 1404 of said T . J. Watson' s
resubdivision; thence northerly along the west
line of said Block 1404 to a point , said point
being the northwest corner of said Block 1404;
thence esterly 60.00 feet along the prolongation
of the north line of said Block 1404 to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 2 . he City Clerk is directed to maintain on
file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing
the particulars of the proposed vacation of California Street
between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street as hereinabove set
forth, and reference is hereby made to said maps or plans for
said particulars as to said proposed vacation.

SECTION 3 . The City Council does hereby fix September 3,
1974 at the hour of 7 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter
may be heard in Council Chambers in the City Hall, Huntington
Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time is not less
than fifteen (15) days from the passage of this resolution.
SECTION 4 . The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of
this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the
City of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage
of this resolution.
SECTION 5 . The Street Superintendent is directed to post,
or cause to be posted, notices of vacation conspicuously along
California Street between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street pro-
posed to be vacated at least ten ( 10) days before the date of the
hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred
(300) feet apart, but at least three (3 ) shall be posted. Such
notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention
and the time and place of hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th
day of August, 1974 .

I, ALICIA M. WENTWORTH, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day
of August , 1974 , by the following vote:
