RESOLUTION NO. 3950 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF THAT PORTION OF CALIFORNIA STREET BETWEEN OSWEGO AVENUE AND NASHVILLE STREET WHEREAS, on August 19, 1974, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No. 3936 declaring its intention to vacate that portion of California Street between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street in the City of Huntington Beach, and referring to maps or plans on file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed vacation; and Said resolution fixed the time and place of Tuesday, September 3, 1974 at the hour of 7 :00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Huntington Beach, California, for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time was not less than fifteen (15) days from the passage of said resolution. Notices of the proposed vacation were posted con- spicuously along said portion of California Street between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street proposed to be vacated, and such notices were posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart and at least three (3) were posted. On September 3, 1974 , at the hour of 7 :00 p .m. thereof in Council Chambers in City Hall, Huntington Beach, California, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach did convene for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or object- ing to the proposed vacation of said portion of California Street between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street, at which time no objection was made to said vacation, and evidence was pre- sented showing that the said portion of California Street proposed to be vacated is not necessary for present and prospective public street and is not suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes . er 1. 8/22/74 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to Part 3, Division 9 of the State of California Streets and Highways Code (Section 8300 et seq. ) , does resolve that that portion of California Street between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street hereinafter set forth is not necessary for present or prospective public street purposes, and is not suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes , and it_.is hereby ORDERED that. the following described portion of California Street between Oswego Avenue and Nashville Street in the city of Huntington Beach be and the same is hereby vacated; and said portion of California Street so vacated is described as follows : That portion of T.J. Watson's resubdivision, as shown on a map recorded in Book 4, page 56, Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County being described as follows : Beginning at the northeast corner of Block 1403 of said T. J. Watson's resubdivision; thence southerly along the east line of said Block 1403 to a point , said point being the southeast corner of said Block 1403; thence easterly 60 .00 feet along the prolongation of the south line of said Block 1403 to a point, said point being the south- west corner of Block 1404 of said T. J. Watson' s resubdivision; thence northerly along the west line of said Block 1404 to a point , said point being the northwest corner of said Block 1404; thence westerly 60 .00 feet along the prolongation of the north line of said Block 1404 to the point of beginning.
