HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3964 RESOLUTION NO. 3964 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING THE SEISMIC- SAFETY ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt a Seismic- Safety Element to be included in the General Plan, as required by Government Code Section 65302, and said Seismic-Safety Element sets out a comprehensive plan to minimize seismic , geologic, flood and fire hazards which may occur within the city, and copy of such Seismic-Safety Element is on file in the office of the City Clerk; and Public hearing on the adoption of the Seismic-Safety Element of the General Plan was duly conducted before the Planning Commission and approved by a majority of the voting members of such Commission, and transmitted to the City Council. Thereafter, the City Council, after giving notice as prescribed by Government Code Section 65355, held at least one public hear- ing, and said Seismic-Safety Element was duly considered; and At said hearing before the City Council all persons desir- ing to be heard on said Seismic-Safety Element were heard, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to the provisions of Title 7, Chapter 3, Article 6 of the Government Code of the State of California, commencing with Section 65350, that the Seismic- Safety Element to the General plan of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby approved and adopted and made a part of said General Plan of said city.
