HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3985 RESOLUTION N0. 3985 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO MODIFY THE GRADE OF GOTHARD STREET PURSUANT TO THE CHANGE OF GRADE ACT OF 1909 The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows : . SECTION 1. Pursuant to Division 9 , Part 1 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California (Sections 8000 et seq. ) , "Change of Grade Act of 1909 ," the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to modi- fy the center line grade of Gothard Street , described as fol- lows : That portion of Gothard Street commencing at a point 50 feet south of the center line of Warner Avenue and extending to a point 800 feet south of the center line of Warner Avenue with the following incremental variations from existing grade : (a) Proposed grade lowered 1. 21 feet 100 feet south of Warner Avenue . (b ) Proposed grade lowered 0 . 64 feet 200 feet south of Warner Avenue. (c ) Proposed grade lowered 0 . 63 feet 300 feet south of Warner Avenue. (d) Proposed grade raised 1. 17 feet 500 feet south of Warner Avenue. (e ) Proposed grade raised 1. 69 feet 600 feet south of Warner Avenue. (f) Proposed grade raised . 81 feet 700 feet south of Warner Avenue. That portion of Gothard Street commencing at a point 800 1. JOC :ahb feet north of the center line of Talbert Avenue and extending to a point 1600 feet north of the center line of Talbert Avenue , with the following incremental variations from existing grade : (a) Proposed grade raised 0 . 5 feet 900 feet north of Talbert Avenue. (b ) Proposed grade raised 3 . 3 feet 1000 feet north of Talbert Avenue. (c ) Proposed rude raised feet 1100 feet north of p 5. 9 g Talbert Avenue. (d) Proposed grade raised 5 . 2 feet 1200 feet north of Talbert Avenue. (e) Proposed grade raised 3 . 4 feet 1300 feet north of Talbert Avenue . (f) Proposed grade lowered 0 . 5 feet 1400 feet north of Talbert Avenue . (g) Proposed grade lowered 0 . 7 feet 1500 feet north of Talbert Avenue. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post this resolution of intention for two days conspicuously on or near the Council Chamber doors, and in addition shall publish such resolution by two insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a newspaper of general circulation, printed and, published in Huntington Beach, California. , SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works shall cause copies of a notice of the passage of this resolution of inten- tion to be conspicuously posted along all portions of Gothard Street where such modifications of grade as set forth herein are proposed to be made, at not more than 100 feet in distance apart , but not less than three notices in all shall be posted. Such notice shall conform to the requirements of the California Streets and Highways Code Section 8025. SECTION 4. The Director of Public Works , pursuant to Streets and Highways Section 8026, shall also cause similar notice to be 2. published by two insertions in the Huntington Beach News , a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day of December, 1974.
