HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3990 RESOLUTION NO. 3990 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO FILE FOR ENTITLEMENT AND ADVANCE FUNDS UNDER THE HOUSING AND COM- MUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has enacted the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 ; and The Department of Housing and Urban Development has published the final set of regulations for Community Devel- opment Block Grants ; and Section 570 .302 of the final regulations provides for advances and authorization to incur costs for planning and preparing to implement activities assisted under the act upon adoption of an appropriate resolution by the local governing body; and Section 570 .302 of the final regulations requires that said resolution recognize that reimbursement for such costs will be dependent upon the availability of funds to implement this part and submission of a timely application in accordance with Section 570 .302. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Huntington Beach intends to file application for entitlement funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 and desires to receive an advance of funds as set forth in Section 570 . 302 of the Final Community Development Block Grant regulations .
