HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4028 RESOLUTION NO. 4028 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH PROVIDING FOR CHANGE OF STREET NAME ON PORTIONS OF TALBERT AVENUE TO VARSITY DRIVE AND TO CENTRAL PARK DRIVE WHEREAS, that certain street , running east and west, bounded by Central Park on the east and running continuously into a dead end west of Edwards Street, has been approved by the Council as Talbert Avenue; and A portion of Talbert Avenue has been rerouted to the south due to the construction of Central Park; and The Huntington Beach Fire Department recommends, for the sake of clarity, that that existing northern portion of Talbert Avenue, which is west of Edwards Street , be changed to Varsity Drive, and that that portion of Talbert Avenue, which is east of Edwards Street and terminates at the Central Park, be changed to Central Park Drive. The City Council finds that such changes would be a conven- ience to the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED pursuant to Section 34091. 1 Of the California Government Code, that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby change the name of Talbert Avenue to Varsity Drive in that existing northern portion of Talbert Avenue which is west of Edwards Street and in that exist- ing portion of Talbert Avenue which is east of Edwards and which terminates at the Central Park to Central Park Drive.
