A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING ORANGE COUNTY
FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT TO REROUTE BOLSA CHICA
CHANNEL, CO-2
WHEREAS, Bolsa Chica Channel, CO-2 , presently flows into
Sunset Channel in Huntington Harbour; and
High nutrient-pollutant content of the water in such channel
fouls and stagnates the water in the harbor; and
EIR 72-1, adopted by the City Council on July 2 , 19733
recommended that Bolsa Chica Channel, CO-2 , be rerouted to
flow westerly along the northern boundary of Sunset Aquatic
Park into the ocean in order to disperse the pollutant contained
in the Bolsa Chica Channel,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach does hereby request Orange County
Flood Control District to reroute and realign Bolsa Chica Channel,
CO-2, along the northern boundary of Sunset Aquatic Park so that
the harmful nutrient pollutant contained in the water of such
channel is dispersed into the ocean rather than into Sunset
Channel in Huntington Harbour.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at the adjourned regular meeting thereof held
on the 10th day of March, 1975 •

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the loth day
