A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF THE EAST SIDE OF GRAHAM STREET
660 FEET NORTH OF SLATER AVENUE
WHEREAS, on April 7, 1975, the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No. 4053 declaring
its intention to vacate a portion of the east side of Graham
Street 660 feet north of Slater Avenue in the city of Huntington
Beach, and referring to maps or plans on file in the office of
the City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed vacation; and
Said resolution fixed the time and place of May 5, 1975,
at the hour of 7: 00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter
may be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center,
Huntington Beach, California, for hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time was not
less than fifteen (15 ) days from the passage of said resolution.
Notices of the proposed vacation were posted conspicuously
along said portion of the east side of Graham Street 660 feet
north of Slater Avenue, and such notices were posted not more
than three hundred (300) feet apart and at least three (3) were
posted.
On May 5 , 1975, at the hour of 7: 00 p .m. thereof in the
Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach, Cali-
fornia, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach did
convene for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of a portion of the east
side of Graham Street 660 feet north of Slater Avenue, at which
time no objection was made to said vacation, and evidence was
presented showing that the said portion of the east side of
Graham Street 660 feet north of Slater Avenue proposed to be

vacated is not necessary for present and prospective public
walkway and is not suitable for use or development as bicycle
paths or routes .
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, pursuant to Division 9, Page 3, Chapter 2 of the State
of California Streets and Highways Code (Sections 8320 et
seq . ) , does resolve that that portion of the east side of
Graham Street 660 feet north of Slater Avenue hereinafter set
forth is not necessary for present or prospective public pur-
poses , and is not suitable for use or development as bicycle
paths or routes , and it is hereby
ORDERED that the following-described portion of the east
side of Graham Street 660 feet north of Slater Avenue in the
city of Huntington Beach be and the same is hereby vacated; and
said portion of the east side of Graham Street 660 feet north
of Slater Avenue so vacated is described as follows :
PARCEL 1 : Beginning at the southwest corner
of Lot 1 of Tract 5331, as shown on a map re-
corded in Book 231, pages 15 through 17 in-
clusive of Miscellaneous Maps , records of
Orange County; thence north 0°57123" west
93. 88 feet along the west line of said Lot 1
to a point , said point being the northwest
corner of said Lot 1; thence south 62031' 37"
west 44. 70 feet along the northerly boundary
line of said tract to a point on a line, said
line being the west boundary line of said
tract; thence south 0°57123" east 73. 00 feet
along said westerly boundary to a point on a
line , said line being the most southerly
boundary line of said tract; thence north
89°25114" east 40. 00 feet to the point of
beginning.
Excepting therefrom the west 33. 00 feet .
PARCEL 2 : Beginning at the most southerly
corner of Tract 5791, as shown on a map re-
corded in Book 236, pages 20 through 23 in-

58. 65 feet along the southerly line of said
tract to a point, said point being the south-
west corner of Lot 52 of said tract; thence
north 4003' 31" west 122.00 feet along the
west line of said Lot 52 to a point, said
point being the northwest corner of said. Lot
52; thence south 89002' 37" west along a line
to a point on the west boundary line of said
tract; thence south 0°57123" east along said
west boundary line to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom the west 33. 00 feet .
PARCEL 3 : Beginning at the northwest corner
of Lot 54 of Tract 5791, as shown on a map re-
corded in Book 236, pages 20 through 23 in-
clusive of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County ; thence north 88140147" west
6 .50 feet along a line to a point on a non-
tangent curve, said curve being concave to
the northwest and having a radius of 1007.00
feet; thence southerly along said curve
through a central angle of 2009145" an arc
distance of 38 . 01 feet to a point of reverse
curvature, a radial line through said point
bears north 86°31' 02" west, said reverse curve
being concave to the southeast and having a
radius of 993. 00 feet; thence southerly along
said reverse curve through a central angle of
4026121" an arc distance of 76.94 feet to a
point on a tangent line, said line being
parallel with and distant 33. 00 feet east of
and measured at right angles from the west
boundary of said tract; thence south 005723"
east 57. 20 feet along said tangent line to a
point ; thence north 89102 ' 37" east along a
line to the southwest corner of Lot 53 of said
tract ; thence north 4003 ' 31" west 97. 29 feet
along the west line of said. Lot 53 to a point;
thence north 0057 ► 23" west 70 .17 feet along
the west lines of Lots 53 and 54 of said tract
to the point of beginning.
The city hereby reserves . and excepts from the vacation
of Parcel 1, as described above, a permanent slope easement
and right at any time or from time to time to maintain said
slope .

The city also hereby reserves and excepts from the vaca-
tion of Parcels 2 and 3, as described above, a permanent slope
and storm drain easement and right at any time or from time
to time to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and
renew storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over
and across such street or any portion thereof to be vacated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th
day of May, 1975 . r
