HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4085 RESOLUTION NO. 4085 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES OF FOUNTAIN VALLEY AND WESTMINSTER REGARDING PARA- MEDIC BOUNDARY DROP WHEREAS, the cities of Fountain Valley , Huntington Beach and Westminster maintain as part of their municipal service an organized and equipped fire department , charged with the duty of fire protection, rescue and paramedical services within the corporate limits of each of said cities; and Investigation has disclosed that it would be to the mutual benefit of each city that the services of each fire department be in some circumstances extended outside of the corporate limits of each city, and into the other cities ; and The cities of Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach and Westminster desire to enter into a mutual response pact , wherein in some circumstances one city will first respond to emergency medical incidents within the corporate limits of the other cities and conversely and mutually the other cities will in some circumstances respond first to involvements within the corporate limits of another city, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby approve and authorize for execution the attached agreement by and between the Cities of Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley and Westminster. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of June , 1975 .
