A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
REVISION OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1974-1975.
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a budget for the City of Huntington
Beach for the fiscal year 1974-1975 by the passage of Resolution No. 3900; and
WHEREAS, the amounts appropriated at the beginning of the fiscal year for
each department or division were, of necessity, approximated; and as unforeseen
developments in personal services costs, materials and service costs, and capital
outlay costs have resulted in an increase in the cost of some items within the
budget, which are and were necessary to the health and welfare of the citizens
of the City of Huntington Beach, which in turn caused the budget appropriations
to be exceeded; and
WHEREAS, determination of the amount necessary to adjust the budget for
expenditure variation could not be made until information was available concern-
ing final figures relating to expenditures as of June 30, 1975; and it is now
determined there are sufficient funds within the General Fund adopted budget
to provide the basis for transfer of appropriation between and within departments
and divisions of the various funds;
WHEREAS, it is now necessary that these adjustments in budget appropriations
be made effective June 30, 1975 so as to close the books and accounts of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby authorize the Director of Finance to make the following transfers
