A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SCAG) TO PROVIDE FAU
FUNDS IN THE SUM OF $583000 FOR PROPOSED CONSTRUC-
TION OF BICYCLE TRAILS ON INDIANAPOLIS AVENUE,
EDINGER AVENUE AND SPRINGDALE STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach Department of Public
Works has submitted an application to the Southern California
Association of Governments (SLAG) for a proportionate share,
based on population, of FAU funds available to cities under
SB 821 for proposed projects to construct bicycle facilities;
and
Such application requested funding for bicycle trails on
the following streets in the city of Huntington Beach:
(1) The sum of $8, OOO for Indianapolis Bikeway from
Newland Street to the Santa Ana River Trail.
(2) The sum of $50,000 for bikeway on Springdale Street
from the north city ', limits to Edinger Avenue, and on Edinger
Avenue from Springdale Street to Sunset Aquatic Park.
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that it does request the Southern
California Association of Governments (SCAG) to give consideration
to the application heretofore submitted for FAU funds for the con-
struction of bicycle trail projects as proposed in such appli-
cation and this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed
to provide a certified copy of this resolution to the Director of
Public Works to be forwarded to the Southern California Association
of Governments for inclusion with the application heretofore sub-
mitted.

Huntington Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held
on the 8th day of September, 1975.

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 8th day
