HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4137 RESOLUTION NO . 4137 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT AN AUTOMATED VEHICLE LOCATER SYSTEM WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is a participant in a joint powers agreement, under Federal grant administered by the California Council on Criminal Justice, for the implementation of an Automated Vehicle Locater System; and On December 10, 1974, the City of Huntington Beach entered into a contract with Hoffman Electronics for the development and installation of said system; and The accepted system requires that radio transmitters be placed on utility poles owned in part or in whole by the Southern California Edison Company, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a license agreement with Southern California Edison Company for the right to install said radio transmitters on utility poles within the city of Huntington Beach in order to im- plement an Automated Vehicle Locater System. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Huntington Beach will pay all administrative fees required under the license agreement entered into with Southern California Edison Company.
