A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH ENDORSING THE PRELIMINARY DEVEL-
OPMENT PLAN FOR EXPANSION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
has determined that the conceptual development plan, prepared
by the State Department of Parks and Recreation, generally
implements goals and objectives of the city; and
The State Department of Parks and Recreation did cooperate
with city staff in effecting planning contributions on future
plans for development of Huntington State Beach; and
Through the process of collective idea exchange and
through the process of elimination during plan formation, said
plan represents the concerns of all participants ; and
Institution of said preliminary development plan would
benefit the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange and
Southern California in general, in accommodating critical
recreation activities , and that pursuit of said plan will ac-
commodate people in an efficient and orderly manner, 11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that it endorses the development plan
for expansion of Huntington State Beach as conceptually designed.
Further, the Council does hereby request to be involved in final
planning efforts wherein specific detail relating to physical
layouts may be addressed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby di-
rected to furnish a copy of this resolution to the Director of
the State Parks and Recreation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day
