HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4172 RESOLUTION NO. 4172 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF REDONDO CIRCLE, SOUTH OF TALBERT AVENUE WHEREAS, on November 17, 1975, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No. 4154 declaring its intention to vacate a portion of Redondo Circle, South of Talbert Avenue, and referring to maps or plans on file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed vacation; and Said resolution fixed the time and place of December 15, 1975, at the hour of 7: 00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach, California, for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time was not less than fifteen (15) days from the passage of said resolution. Notices of the proposed vacation were posted con- spicuously along said portion of Redondo Circle, South of Talbert Avenue, and such notices were posted not more than three hundred (300 ) feet apart and at least three (3) were posted. On December 15, 1975, at the hour of 7 : 00 p.m. , thereof in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach, California, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach did convene for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of a portion of Redondo Circle, South of Talbert Avenue, at which time no objection was made to said vacation, and evidence was presented showing that the said portion of Redondo Circle, South of Talbert Avenue proposed to be vacated is not necessary for present and pros- pective public walkway or is not suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes . e JOC :er 1. " t � NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to Division 9, Page 3, Chapter 2 of the State of California Streets and Highways Code (Sections 8320 et seq. ) , does resolve that that portion of Redondo Circle, South of Talbert Avenue hereinafter set forth is not necessary for present or prospective public purposes, and is not suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes, and it is hereby ORDERED that the following-described portion of Redondo Circle, South of Talbert Avenue be and the same is hereby vacated; and said portion of Redondo Circle, South of Talbert Avenue so vacated is described as follows : That portion of Block E of Tract 570, as shown on a map recorded in Book 19, page 71, Miscella- neous Maps, Records of Orange County, being re- corded as follows : Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Block E; thence South 014610511 West to a point on a curve, said curve being concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 50. 00 feet ; thence Westerly and Northerly along said curve through a central angle of 91027 ' 33" an arc distance of 79. 81 feet to a point on a line, said line being the North line of said Block E; thence North 89118t3211 East 5O. 00 feet along said line to the point of beginning. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of December, 1975. ATTEST: ALICIA M.
