A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE A
PORTION OF 14ICHITA AVENUE BETWEEN THE RAILROAD
TRACKS AND ALABAMA STREET
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. A public meeting was held before the Planning
Commission on April 20, 1976, at which time it was determined
pursuant to Government Code Section 65402, that the proposed
vacation of a portion of Wichita Avenue between the railroad
tracks and Alabama Street conformed to the city' s General Plan.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California
(Sections 8320 et seq . ) , the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to vacate that
portion of Wichita Avenue between the railroad tracks and Alabama
Street described as follows :
Parcel 1
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 12 of Block 2201
of Vista Del Mar tract as shown on a map recorded in Book
4, page 15, Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County;
thence northerly along the northerly prolongation of the
west line of said. Lot 12, 60. 00 feet to a point , said
point being the southwest corner of 1�qcj� 2.3,01 of east
fide Villa tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 4,
page 65, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County;
thence easterly along the south line of said Block 2301,
125. 00 feet to a point ; thence southerly 60 . 00 feet to
the northeast corner of said Lot 12; thence westerly
along the north line of said Lot 121 125. 00 feet to the
point of beginning.
Parcel 2
That portion lying northwesterly of a curve concave south-
easterly and having a radius of 80. 00 feet, said curve

being tangent on the north to the south line of Block
2302 of said east side Villa tract and tangent on the
west to the east line of said Lot 12 in the city of
Huntington Beach, county of Orange, state of California.
SECTION 3 . The City Clerk is directed to maintain on
file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing
the particulars of the proposed vacation of a portion of Wichita
Avenue between the railroad tracks and Alabama Street , and
reference is hereby made to said maps or plans for said particulars
as to said proposed vacation.
SECTION 4 . The City Council does hereby fix June 7, 1976
at the hour of 7: 00 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may
be heard in Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington
Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time is not less than
fifteen (15) days from the passage of this resolution.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of
this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News , a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the
City of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage
of this resolution.
SECTION 6. The Street Superintendent is directed to post,
or cause to be posted, notices of vacation conspicuously along
that portion: of Wichita Avenue between the railroad tracks and
Alabama Street proposed to be vacated at least ten (10 ) days
before the date of the hearing. Such notices shall be posted not
more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but at least three (3 )
shall be posted. Such notices shall state the passage of this
resolution of intention and the time and place of hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of May, 1976.
