RESOLUTION NO. 4263
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL COVERING
PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION AND ORDERING THE
PREPARATION OF A REPORT ON SAID IMPROVEMENT.
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 7501
(DUNBAR STREET SEWER AND WATER)
WHEREAS, this City Council is contemplating the construc-
tion of certain public works of improvements under proceedings
conducted pursuant to the "Improvement Act of 1911", being Division
7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, in
a special assessment district known and designated as
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 7501
(DUNBAR STREET SEWER AND WATER)
(hereinafter referred to as the "Assessment District") .
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . That the above recitals are all true and
correct.
SECTION 2 . That said certain public works of improvements,
together with appurtenances and appurtenant work, .including acqui-
sition, where necessary, are proposed to be done and made within
the boundaries of the Assessment District. In connection therewith,
this City Council finds and determines as follows:
A. That the specific nature of the proposed works
of improvements consists of all the work as shorn on
the plans and detailed drawings for the Assessment District.
B. That the boundaries of the Assessment District
and the lands and properties within the Assessment District
proposed to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses of
said proposed works of improvements are as shown upon a
map of the Assessment District, which map has beenhereto-
fore approved by this City Council and is on file in the
Office of the City Clerk . Said map shall govern for a1
details as' to the extent of the Assessment District.
SECTION 3 . That the statute under which it is proposed
to conduct proceedings is the "Improvement Act of 1911" , being
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, with bonds proposed to be issued as authorized by
said Division 7 of said Code.
SECTION 4 . That
H. E. HARTGE, APPOINTED SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS
is hereby appointed and required to procure all necessary informa-
tion to prepare a report of the proposed improvement in the manner
and form provided for in Division 4 of the said Streets and Highways
Code; that said report shall, as a part thereof, contain a copy
of this Resolution.
SECTION 5 . That this Resolution and the Report, as
ordered, are pursuant to the provisions of the Special Assessment
Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931.
SECTION 6 . That the legislative body, at this time,
does not intend or determine to make any contribution or appropria-
tion towards any of the costs and/or expenses of the works of
improvements as proposed under these proceedings and all costs and
expenses shall be financed through special assessment upon benefited
lands and properties within the boundaries of the Assessment District
in the manner and form as required and established by law.
SECTION 7 . That the works of improvements as proposed
to be constructed under these proceedings, generally consist of
the following:
The construction and installation of sanitary sewer
lines, with house laterals and domestic water facili-
ties, with house laterals, together with all appurten-
ances and appurtenance work in connection therewith,
including acquisition, where necessary, within that
territory within the City of Huntington Beach, Cali-
fornia, to serve those properties fronting DUNBAR
STREET (private street extending easterly from
Bolsa Chica Street in a special assessment district
in said City, known and designated as
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 7501

For particulars , reference is hereby made to a Map
of the Assessment District on file in the Office of
the City Clerk of said City.
