HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4267 RESOLUTION N0. 4267 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 4204 AND SETTING POLICY AND ESTABLISHING FEES FOR USE OF MEETING ROOMS IN THE CIVIC CENTER WHEREAS, a number of meeting rooms have been designed and constructed in the basement of the Civic Center; and At such time as these meeting rooms are not in use for public purposes, it is the desire of the City to make these rooms available for nonprofit groups at a reasonable rental rate, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve : SECTION 1. The facilities shall be available without charge for City activities, and for any Board, Commission or Committee appointed by the City, and for other governmental agencies . SECTION 2. The facilities shall be available for rental by local civic, and local nonprofit organizations based on the following fee provisions : 4 Hours or Less Over 4 Hours Council Chambers $37 . 50 $75. 00 Room B-6 10. 00 15. 00 Room B-7 10. 00 15. 00 Room B-8 10. 00 15. 00 Cafeteria 10. 00 15. 00 Where two rooms are combined to make one room to accommo- date a group for any one meeting or event, the total charge shall be the fees for both rooms as set out above . er 1. A rental agreement shall be signed by the responsible person who is renting the meeting room facility and such rental agreement shall include an indemnification provision by which such responsible person agrees to indemnify the City of Huntington Beach for any damage . Groups renting the facilities shall comply with all rules and regulations in effect at the time of such rental. SECTION 3. Facilities shall not be available to profit- making organizations . SECTION 4 . Resolution No . 4204 is hereby repealed. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of July, 1976.
