HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4306 gyp : II� f7 P e, -7 g RESOLUTION NO. 4306 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE THE EAST SIDE OF FLORIDA STREET FROM GARFIELD AVENUE TO 600 FEET SOUTH The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows : SECTION 1. A public meeting was held before the Planning Commission on April 20, 1976, at which time it was determined pursuant to Government Code Section 65402, that the proposed vacation of the east side of Florida Street from Garfield Avenue to 600 feet south conformed to the city' s General Plan. SECTION 2. Pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California (Sections 8320 et seq. ) , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to vacate the east side of Florida Street from Garfield Avenue to 600 feet south described as follows: That portion of the land in Mountain View Tract and Eastoide Villa Tract in the city of Huntington Beach, county of Orange, state of California as said Tracts are shown on maps filed in Book 7, page 1, and Book 4, page 65, respectively, of Miscellaneous Maps of said Orange County, and being a portion of the land described in document recorded in Book 7357, page 622, Official Records of said Orange County, described as follows : Commencing at the centerline intersection of Gar- field Avenue and Florida Street as shown on map filed in Book 83, page2l-2�, of Parcel Maps, Records of said Orange County; thence along said centerline of Garfield Avenue south 89058 '13" east 64. 04 feet; thence south 0001147" west 50. 00 feet to the true point of beginning, said point also being a point in a curve concave southeasterly with a radius of 31. 00 feet, which curve is tangent to a line which is 50 . 00 feet southerly, measured at right angles, from said centerline of Garfield and tangent to a /cs 1. line which is 33 . 00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from said centerline of Florida Street; thence southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 90001' 44" to last mentioned parallel line; thence south 0000 ' 03" west 116. 97 feet to a tangent curve concave westerly with a radius of 301.12 feet; thence southerly along said curve through a central angle of 5043 ' 04" to a tangent reverse curve concave easterly having a radius of 301.12 feet; thence southerly along said curve through a central angle of 5043' 04" to a line parallel with and 30 . 00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from said centerline of Florida Street; thence south 0000 ' 03" west 545. 39 feet to a point in a nontangent curve concave northwesterly with a radius of 600. 00 feet, a radial to said point bears south 68157 '35" east, said curve also being tangent to a line which is parallel with and 70. 00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from said centerline of Florida Street; thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 21102122" to last mentioned parallel line; thence north 0000' 03" east 507 . 93 feet to a tangent curve concave southeasterly having a radius of 30. 00 feet, which curve is also tangent to said line which is parallel with and 50. 00 feet southerly from the centerline of Garfield Avenue; thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 90001' 44" to last mentioned parallel line; thence north 89°58' 13" west 36. 00 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to maintain on file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing the particulars of the proposed vacation of the east side of Florida Street from Garfield Avenue to 600 feet south, and reference is hereby made to said maps or plans for said par- ticulars as to said proposed vacation. SECTION 4 . The City Council does hereby fix September 7, 1976 at the hour of 7 : 00 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time is not less than fifteen (15) days from the passage of this resolution. 2, SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general circulations printed and published in the City of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage of this resolution. SECTION 6. The Street Superintendent is directed to post, or cause to be posted, notices of vacation conspicuously along that portion of the east side of Florida Street from Garfield Avenue to 600 feet south proposed to be vacated at least ten (10) days before the date of the hearing.. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but at least three (3 ) shall be posted. Such notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of hearing.
