HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 4331 RESOLUTION NO. 43-31 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE A POR- TION OF ROOSEVELT LANE, NORTH OF STALLION CIRCLE The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows : SECTION 1. A public hearing was held before the Planning Commission on August 17, 1976, at which time it was determined pursuant to Government Code Section 654025 that the proposed va- cation of a portion of Roosevelt Lane north of Stallion Circle conformed to the city ' s General Plan. SECTION 2. Pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California (Sec- tions 8320 et seq. ) , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of Roosevelt Lane north of Stallion Circle , described as follows : That portion of Roosevelt Lane lying northerly of the westerly prolongation of the north right-of-way line of Stallion Circle as shown on Tract 7805, recorded in Book 338, pages 23 and 24 , Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County, California. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to maintain on file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing the particu- lars of the proposed vacation of a portion of Roosevelt Lane north of Stallion Circle , and reference is hereby made to said maps or plans for said particulars as to said proposed vacation. SECTION 4. The City Council does hereby fix October 26, 1976 at the hour of 7 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time is not less 1. ahb than fifteen (1.5) days from the passage of this resolution. SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News , a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the city of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage of this resolution. SECTION 6 . The Street Superintendent is directed to post , or cause to be posted, notices of vacation conspicuously along that portion of Roosevelt Lane north of Stallion Circle proposed to be vacated at least ten (10) days before the date of the hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart , but at least three (3) shall be posted. Such notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of hearing. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of September, 1976.
