RESOLUTION NO. 4342 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTIONS OF SHIPLEY STREET NORTH OF ADAMS AVENUE WHEREAS, on October 6, 1976, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No . 4336 declaring its intention to vacate portions of Shipley Street north of Adams Avenue, and referring to maps or plans on file in the office of the City Clerk for particulars as to the proposed vacation; and Said resolution fixed the time and place of October 26, 1976 , at the hour of 7: 00 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach, California, for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time was not less than fifteen (15) days from the passage of said resolution. Notices of the proposed vacation were posted conspicuously along said portion of Shipley Street north of Adams Avenue , and such notices were posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart and at least three (3) were posted. On October 26 , 1976, at the hour of 7: OO p.m. , thereof in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach, California, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach did convene for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of Shipley Street north of Adams Avenue, at which time no objection was made to said vacation, and evidence was presented showing that the said portions of Shipley Street proposed to be vacated is not necessary for present and prospective public street purposes or is not suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes . er 1- NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to Division 9 , Page 3, Chapter 2 of the State of California Streets and Highways Code (Sections 8320 et seq . ) , does resolve that those portions of Shipley Street north of Adams Avenue hereinafter set forth are not necessary for present or prospective public purposes, and are not suitable for use or development as bicycle paths or routes, and it is hereby ORDE4ED that the following described portions of Shipley Street north of Adams Avenue be and the same are hereby vacated; and said portions of Shipley Street so vacated are described as follows : In the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California; Those portions of Douglas Street, now known as Shipley Street and that certain alley between Lot Nos. 3 and 8 of Block No . 1705 all as shown on a map of Tract No . 51 recorded in Book 9 , Page 49 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said County described as follows: Parcel No. 1 Beginning at the most Westerly corner of Lot No . 2 of Block No. 1704 of said tract; thence along the Westerly line of said Block 1704, North, 78. 17 feet to a point of tangency with a curve concave North- westerly and having a radius of 70 . 00 feet ; thence Southerly along said curve through a central angle of 36° 32104" an are length of 44. 64 feet to a point of reverse curve with a curve concave Easterly and having a radius of 20 .00 feet ; a radial to last said point bears South 53027' 56" East; thence along last said curve through a central angle of 85013119" an arc length of 29 . 75 feet to a point of tangency with the Northwesterly prolongation of the South- west line of said Lot 2 of Block 1704; thence along said prolongation South 4804111511 East 14. 50 feet to the Point of Beginning. Parcel No.2 Beginning at a point on the East line of said Block 1705, distant thereon 18. 10 feet measured North, from the most Southerly corner of Lot No . 1 of said Block 1705; thence along the East line of last said Block North, 184.91 feet to a point on a non-tangent curve concave Southerly and having a radius of 19 . 50 feet; a radial to last said point bears North 1405112611 East; thence along last said curve through a central 2. angle of 35025139" an arc length of 12 .06 feet to a point on a line parallel with and 10 . 00 feet East of said East line of Block 1705; a radial to last said point bears North 50017' 05" East; thence along said parallel line South 161.20 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 20 .00 feet; thence along last said curve through a central angle of 60000100" an arc length of 20 .94 feet to the Point of Beginning.
