A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE A
PORTION OF THE NORTH SIDE OF DAMASK DRIVE AND
THE EAST SIDE OF VIEWPOINT LANE
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby resolve as follows :
SECTION 1. A public meeting was held before the Planning
Commission on September 21, 1976, at which time it was deter-
mined pursuant to Government Code Section 65402, that the
proposed vacation of a four (4) foot strip of public right-of-
way along the north side of Damask Drive and east side of View-
point Lane conformed to the city' s General Plan.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California
(Sections 8320 et seq. ) , the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention to vacate a
portion of the north side of Damask Drive and the east side of
Viewpoint Lane, described as follows :
In the city of Huntington Beach, county of Orange,
state of California;
Beginning at the northwest corner of Parcel 2 as
shown on a map recorded in Book 83, pages 8 and 9
of Parcel Maps, Records of Orange County; thence
south 0144145" east 141. 07 feet along the west
line of said Parcel 2 to a point on a tangent
curve, said curve being concave northeasterly and
having a radius of 25 . 00 feet; thence continuing
along said curve thru a central angle of 89049144",
an arc distance of 39. 20 feet to a point on a
tangent line; thence north 89025' 31" east 420. 00
feet along the south line of said Parcel 2 to a
point; thence south 0144, 45" east 4 . 00 feet to a
point on a line, said line being parallel with and
measured at right angles from said south line of
said Parcel 2; thence west along said parallel line

to a point on a tangent curve, said curve being con-
cave northeasterly and having a radius of 24 . 00 feet;
thence westerly and northerly along said curve thru a
central angle of 8914914411, an arc distance of 37 .63
feet to a point on a line, said line being parallel
with and 4 . 00 feet west of measured at right angles
from the west line of said Parcel 2; thence northerly
along said parallel line to a point; thence north
89°25'31" east 4 . 00 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to maintain on
file in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing
the particulars of the proposed vacation of a four (4) foot
strip of public right-of-way along the north side of Damask
Drive and east side of Viewpoint Lane, and reference is hereby
made to said maps or plans for said particulars as to said
proposed vacation.
SECTION 4 . The City Council does hereby fix November 15,
1976 at the hour of 7: 00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as the
matter may be heard in Council Chambers in the Civic Center,
Huntington Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time
is not less than fifteen (15) days from the passage of this
resolution.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of
this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the
City of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage
of this resolution.
SECTION 6. The Street Superintendent is directed to post ,
or cause to be posted, notices of vacation conspicuously along
the portions of Damask Drive and Viewpoint Lane proposed to be
vacated at least ten (10) days before the date of the hearing.
Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300)
feet apart, but at least three (3) shall be posted. Such
notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention
and the time and place of hearing.
