A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF THE NORTH SIDE OF DAMASK DRIVE
AND THE EAST SIDE OF VIEWPOINT LANE
WHEREAS, on October 26, 1976, the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach duly adopted Resolution No. 4346 declaring
its intention to vacate a portion of the north side of Damask
Drive and the east side of Viewpoint Lane, and referring to
maps or plans on file in the office of the City Clerk for
particulars as to the proposed vacation; and
Said resolution fixed the time and place of November 15,
1976, at the hour of 7 : 00 p .m. , or as soon thereafter as the
matter may be heard, in the Council Chambers in the Civic
Center, Huntington Beach, California, for hearing all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, which time
was not less than fifteen (15) days from the passage of said
resolution. Notices of the proposed vacation were posted
conspicuously along said portion of Damask Drive and Viewpoint
Lane, and such notices were posted not more than three hundred
(300) feet apart and at least three (3) were posted .
On November 15, 1976, at the hour of 7: 00 p.m. , thereof in
the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Huntington Beach,
California, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
did convene for the purpose of hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation of a portion of the
north side of Damask Drive and the east side of Viewpoint Lane,
at which time no objection was made to said vacation, and
evidence was presented showing that the said portion of the
north side of Damask Drive and the east side of Viewpoint Lane
proposed to be vacated is not necessary for present and pro-
spective public street .purposes or is not suitable for use or
development as bicycle paths or routes .

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, pursuant to Division 9, Page 3, Chapter 2 of the State
of California Streets and Highways Code (Sections 8320 et
seq. ) , does resolve that that portion of the north side of
Damask Drive and the east side of Viewpoint Lane hereinafter
set forth is not necessary for present or prospective public street
purposes, and is not suitable for use or development as bicycle
paths or routes, and it is hereby
ORDERED that the following-described portion of the north
side of Damask Drive and the east side of Viewpoint Lane be and
the same is hereby vacated; and said portion so vacated is
described as follows :
In the city of Huntington Beach, county of Orange,
state of California;
Beginning at the northwest corner of Parcel 2 as
shown on a map recorded in Book 83, pages 8 and 9
of Parcel Maps , Records of Orange County; thence
south 0144145" east 141. 07 feet along the west
line of said Parcel 2 to a point on a tangent
curve, said curve being concave northeasterly and
having a radius of 25 .00 feet; thence continuing
along said curve thru a central angle of 89149 , 44",
an arc distance of 39 .20 feet to a point on a
tangent line; thence north 89125'31" east 420 . 00
feet along the south line of said Parcel 2 to a
point; thence south 0044'45" east 4 . 00 feet to a
point on a line, said line being parallel with and
measured at right angles from said south line of
said Parcel 2; thence west along said parallel line
to a point on a tangent curve, said curve being con-
cave northeasterly and having a radius of 24.00 feet;
thence westerly and northerly along said curve thru a
central angle of 8914914411 , an are distance of 37. 63
feet to a point on a line, said line being parallel
with and 4 . 00 feet west of measured at right angles
from the west line of said Parcel 2; thence northerly
along said parallel line to a point; thence north
89°25'31" east 4 . 00 feet to the point of beginning.
