A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE OF
STREET NAMES FROM ARGOSY DRIVE AND CENTER DRIVE
TO ARGOSY AVENUE AND CENTER AVENUE
WHEREAS, the designation of Argosy Drive and Center Drive
have been changed from local streets to arterial highways ;
and
All east-west arterial highways are presently designated
as avenues ; and
The Fire Chief has recommended that Argosy Drive and
Center Drive be changed to Argosy Avenue and Center Avenue,
for the sake of uniformity; and
These changes would be in keeping with the City ' s Master
Street Desigation Plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby change the names of Argosy Drive and Center
Drive to Argosy Avenue and Center Avenue .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that , pursuant to Government Code
Section 34092, the City Clerk is directed to forward a copy
of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange County,
California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 22hd
day of February, 1977 .
